Barking:
To stop your dog from barking fill a spray bottle with water. When your dog barks give a verbal correction, "No Bad Dog" in a low tone of voice. If dog doesnt stop barking, give verbal correction along with a squirt to the face . When dog doesnt bark,, always give praise. Repeat as nessesary. Good Luck.
Chewing shoes:
Limit your dog to one favorite chew toy. Multiple toys confuse a young puppy as to what they are allowed to chew. If your dog chews on something it shouldn't, take the item away and give a verbal correction "No, bad dog" Wait about a minute and give the authorized chew toy. Interact with your dog when playing with the desired chew toy, make playing with the authorized chew toy something fun and rewarding.
Fear Aggression
The person that the dog is afraid of becomes the primary care giver.
If dog won’t let person hook up on leash, let someone else hook up dog and then turn over leash to person dog is afraid of to take for walk.
Do not make direct eye contact.
Keep voice positive and high
Give favorite treat while wearing protective leather gloves
Isolate dog from all other people in the family. Only the person the dog is afraid of will care for the dog.
The dogs fear must be controlled before any obedience can be attempted
"PATIENCE" is the key
When introducing a new dog to your family pet, take both animals to a neutral area for thier initial meeting. This will ease some territorial behavior between the dogs. Also keep both dogs on a leash during the initial greeting period.
Remember to keep it FUN!
If your dogs tail isn't wagging when you take out the training leash and collar, you are doing something wrong. Don't let your k9 friend get bored during a training session. Quit training and begin to play fetch or some other activity your dog enjoys.. 20 min a day is usually suffice for training. Quit on an upbeat note. The key is FUN.
